Software
Make the most of your photocopier's functionality
Printing directly from your iPhone/iPad or Cloud
The new colour touchscreens on our multifunctional printers and photocopiers allow printing directly from your organisation’s cloud service such as Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, and Dropbox meaning that instead of having to send a document to print from your PC you can use your device to search, edit and then print directly from where it is stored. You can also scan documents and save them directly to your organisation’s cloud services ready to be shared.
If you have any questions about printing and/or scanning to the Cloud then please ask. We are always happy to show off our equipment’s capabilities!
AirPrint
Do you need to print directly from your iPhone or iPad? If you do then AirPrint lets you print documents, photos, emails and websites directly from your Apple device.
Many of our devices are AirPrint enabled meaning it is certified by Apple and is discoverable from an iOS device with no need to download an App, additional software or driver. This means you just choose your printer from your iPhone or iPad’s menu and press print.
AirPrint also enables Mac users to print to the device without needing to install PostScript.
If you have any questions about printing from your smartphones or tablets then please contact us on 01322 643826 for more information.
Banner Printing
Did you know you can print colour banners that are water, weather and fade resistant? Using your Toshiba device and AquaAce paper you can print A4, A3 and banner size (1,200 x 297mm) from your PC or Mac.
If you have any questions about this great feature then please get in touch with your local Account Manager or contact us on 01322 643826.

GDPR and your photocopier
– are you ready?
Businesses of all sizes in Europe have until May 2018 to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). GDPR is new legislation (officially known as Directive 95/46/EC) and the penalties for non-compliance can result in a fine of up to €20 million or 4% of your company’s total revenue (whichever is the greater).
All businesses from 25th May 2018 are required by law to protect the personal data they hold. This includes data printed, scanned/stored or accessed using your photocopier or multifunctional device.
Any networked device, including your office printer, could be targeted by aggressive and sophisticated cybercriminals. Your photocopier is likely to handle large amounts of sensitive data which must not be shared (intentionally or unintentionally) without permission; however many businesses forget to include this within their business data protection strategy.
Most manufacturers have developed their new equipment to protect data but GDPR makes it the business’ lawful duty to “take into consideration the available technology at the time of the processing and technological developments” when processing personal data, so you still need to consider:
Is data encrypted on your photocopier/printer hard drive?
How secure are your scanned documents?
How secure are your printers from network intrusion?
Are your users’ print jobs secure and confidential?
If you have any questions about your device’s security, how you can improve your printing security or to find out if your printer complies with your own GDPR plans then please get in touch with us on 01322 643826 for more information.
